Dr. Tsoumpou specialized in Fetal Medicine at one of the largest centers in the world, the Harris Birthright Research Center for Fetal Medicine at King's College University Hospital in London, under the supervision of Professor Cyprus Nikolaidis who established cervical transparency as a good method monitoring the fetus.
As an embryonic she is certified for these ultrasounds: • Early screening- viability
• Cervical transparency (11-14 weeks) to check the embryo’s anatomical development for that stage and check for chromosomal abnormalities
• Anatomy scans (20-24 weeks-Level 2) to investigate any congenital anomalies of the fetus and its detailed anatomical examination.
• Cervical length measurement to manage the risk of preterm birth.
• Doppler screening for preeclampsia.
• Ultrasound and Doppler in the 3rd trimester
• Fetal echocardiography
She has specialized in complicated pregnancies counseling (congenital fetal abnormalities, Rhesus factor awareness, diabetes, residual fetal development, multiple pregnancy, congenital fetal infections, etc.).
She has also been trained in invasive tests (amniocentesis and trophoblast biopsy) during pregnancy, but also in the latest developments in the field of Fetal Medicine, such as the application of non-invasive prenatal testing (free fetal DNA testing).
She is a very warm person, extremely careful. She will explain your ultrasound results and answer all your questions in a very simple way. In the case of further tests she will direct you responsibly and calmly.
