    Success Rates

Our patients and statistical data confirm our success. An IVF cycle success rate depends on many factors (the woman’s age and anatomical factors, sperm quality, number and quality of transferred embryos etc.). Statistical data of IVF centres do not depict your individual chances of achieving pregnancy, they are indicative though of each centre’s quality. After the causes of infertility are diagnosed, we inform you on your personal rates concerning your own possibility of achieving pregnancy, based on the suggested treatment.

Cumulative statistical data (success rates) for in-vitro fertilization treatments (2007-2013)

A couple’s chance for a successful IVF treatment statistically depends not only on the woman’s age but also on her ovaries’ response to medication (how many oocytes are produced during stimulation and collected in oocyte retrieval). Using detailed stastical analysis, we can inform you about your personal chances for success.

    Normal response group

Following stimulation of the ovaries, 6 or more oocytes are collected furing oocyte retrieval.
    Mean number of oocytes: 12.
The response of patients in this group is satisfactory, but the number of oocytes produced is not excessive. This way, we prevent complications (i.e. OHSS), while maintaining high quality of eggs. Mean number of embryos transferred: 2.6 (reduced chance of a multiple pregnancy)

PPT/ET: positive pregnancy test per embryotransfer (θετικό τεστ εγκυμοσύνης ανά εμβρυομεταφορά)
CPR/ET: clinical pregnancy rate per embryotransfer (ποσοστό κλινικής εγκυμοσύνης ανά εμβρυομεταφορά)

    About the blastocyst sub-group:
    Mean number of oocytes: 15
Mean number of embryos transferred: 2.3

    Poor response group

Following stimulation of the ovaries, 5 or less oocytes are collected furing oocyte retrieval.
    Mean number of oocytes: 3.
This group of patients is 35% of all our patients. 75% of these patients go on with embryotransfer following oocyte retrieval.

PPT/ET: positive pregnancy test per embryotransfer (θετικό τεστ εγκυμοσύνης ανά εμβρυομεταφορά)
CPR/ET: clinical pregnancy rate per embryotransfer (ποσοστό κλινικής εγκυμοσύνης ανά εμβρυομεταφορά)

If statistical data and numbers seem “cold” and impersonal to you, we encourage you to directly contact couples who have reached “gennima” in the past. You can read here many personal experiences.

Please contact us and we will be glad to put you in touch with these couples, so as to exchange experiences with them.
At “gennima”, high success rates are due to the following parameters:
    • Many years of experience
    • Belief that each cuple is special
    • Honest and personal contact with each couple
    • Meticulous screening before treatment and regulation of factors with negative impact
    • Attention to detail at every stage of the infertility treatment
    • High-standard embryology laboratory.

As an objective standard, we quote hereby statistical data concerning IVF in the USA, collected by the relevant independent authority (SART: Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, www.sart.org). Unfortunately, no such independent authority actually exists in Greece (although it has been established by Law 3305 of 2005 as the “National Authority of Medically Assisted Reproduction”), to monitor the operation of assisted reproduction centres.

Percentage of IVF cycles resulting in pregnancy depending on woman’s age
